This is Nathan. He is just 8 weeks old, yet his little body carries the weight of an unspeakable past. On February 10th, he was found underneath a pile of rubbish in Rayton, barely moving, covered in ticks, fleas, and fear. His tiny ears were so infested that they became a painful home for parasites. His frail body spoke of hunger, neglect, and loneliness.
When he was brought into our care, Nathan didn’t want to move, eat, or even exist. His eyes — filled with sadness — told a story of suffering we could never fully understand. But even the most broken hearts can mend with love.
Now, Nathan is slowly learning that not all hands hurt, some only heal. He is eating well and, though still scared, he is beginning to trust—just a little. If you approach him slowly, he will allow you to give him gentle scratches, a small but powerful sign that he is holding onto hope.
Nathan needs you. He needs kind voices, gentle hands, and warm hearts to show him that the world can be kind. We invite you to visit him, spend time with him, and remind him that he is safe now. Even if you can’t visit, please send him love, because every bit of kindness helps him heal.
