After 10 years in a home, Jenna is now sleeping in a kennel...

At 10 and 6 years old, Jenna and Zeus recently lost the home they knew after their owner faced unforeseen circumstances and could no longer keep them.

Jenna is a Boxer with the gentlest heart. She absolutely adores people, gets along beautifully with other dogs, and if you sit down for even a second, she will happily climb onto your lap like she still believes she’s a tiny puppy. The photos honestly say it all – she just wants to be close to someone again.

She had one tumour and some cysts removed, is on medication for arthritis, and needs soft food.

But she still has so much love left to give.

You see it in the way she lights up around Zeus. Even though they still get to spend time together often, he still brings out this happy, playful side in her. Suddenly there are tail wags again. Little bursts of excitement. Moments where she forgets about being sore and just enjoys being a dog again.

Then there’s Zeus.

Zeus has a permanent happy face and playful personality. He loves people, loves other dogs, and is happiest when he gets to play or be near Jenna. He’s the kind of dog that always looks excited to see you, no matter what.

We don’t mind rehoming them separately, but deep down, we would really love for them to stay together. After everything changed so suddenly for them, having each other still brings them comfort.

We know finding a home for two dogs, especially when one is a senior dog, is a huge ask. But Jenna deserves more than growing old in a kennel.

She deserves a home where she can rest her head on someone’s lap and finally feel safe and settled again.
