I’m Harvey. I’m 11 years old...
When I was younger, I found myself scared and alone on the Hammanskraal bridge. I didn’t know where I was going or what would happen next. But someone stopped, picked me up, and changed everything. That’s how my journey to safety began.
These days, I’m what people call an “old dog.” I know that means I often get overlooked. Puppies bounce, youngsters catch eyes, and dogs like me get passed by. I promise you this: I am gentle, friendly, and full of love. I enjoy meeting people, I’m good with other dogs, and cats don’t bother me at all.
Kennels can be tough for an old soul like me, but when I get outside, something wonderful happens. My worries fade, my tail lifts, and I remember who I really am – a happy, calm boy who just wants to be near someone kind.
I don’t need much. A soft place to lie down. A bit of sunshine. A home where I can rest, feel safe, and be loved for who I am. In return, I’ll give you quiet companionship, loyalty, and a heart that’s grateful every single day.
If you think you might have space in your home then I’d love to meet you. Please contact 082 677 8084 to learn more about me. If you can’t adopt, please share my story. Sometimes all an old dog needs is one person to stop scrolling.
