Meet Dolly: A Story of Hope and Recovery at Wet Nose

In the late afternoon of October 22nd, Wet Nose Animal Rescue Centre received a distressing call about a stray dog spotted near Davids Farm Store. The dog, now named Dolly, was found in terrible condition and immediately brought back to our shelter. Upon arrival, Dolly was severely underweight and clearly in need of urgent care.

Our team wasted no time in providing Dolly with the medical attention she desperately needed. She was treated at our clinic for Babesia, a tick-borne disease that had taken a toll on her already fragile state. Despite the hardships she has faced, Dolly is showing signs of improvement.

In just a short time, she has gained some weight and is beginning her journey toward a healthier life. She is a very sweet girl who is just scared and unsure of what is happening around her. Dolly’s gentle eyes reflect a spirit that hasn’t given up, and with your help, we believe she can make a full recovery.

How You Can Help Dolly and Dogs Like Her:

  • Donate to Dolly’s Recovery: Contributions go directly to her medical treatment, nutritious food, and the care she needs to regain her strength.
  • Sponsor a Kennel: Support Dolly’s journey and others like her by sponsoring a kennel at Wet Nose Animal Rescue Centre. Your sponsorship helps us provide ongoing care, food, and shelter for rescued dogs.

For more details, please contact us at 082 677 8084 or visit us at Wet Nose. Together, we can give Dolly and other strays the chance to live a happy, healthy life.
