Every once in a while, we meet a dog that reminds us just how unfair life can be, and just how strong love can make them.
This is Luka. She’s got the happiest smile you’ve ever seen, the gentlest soul you could ask for, and a streak of bad luck that just doesn’t seem to quit.
She’s been given chances, homes, and fresh starts. Although for reasons out of her control, those chances always slipped away. None of it was her fault. She’s not difficult, she’s not destructive, she’s just had a rough roll of the dice – over and over again.
Through all this, Luka never stopped smiling. She still believes that her person is out there. Someone who won’t change their mind on her. Someone who will see how sweet, cuddly, calm, and full of love she truly is.
Luka is 10 years old now, and we are desperate to give her the one thing she’s never truly had – a forever home.
