The Gentle Giant Who Can’t Stop Shivering in His Kennel
Blackie, our 9-year-old Great Dane X, once had a home filled with love, soft blankets, and the sound of his owner’s voice. He was adopted from Wet Nose years ago, and he finally had his happily-ever-after. Until tragedy struck – Blackie’s owner’s wife passed away, and life changed completely. Heartbroken, his owner had no choice but to move somewhere and couldn’t take Blackie with him. When he brought Blackie back, he also brought all his blankets and toys – hoping the familiar smells would help him feel safe again.
Unfortunately, it didn’t help.
Now Blackie curls up in the corner of his kennel, shivering, missing the only family he’s ever known. He doesn’t understand why he’s back here. Yet the moment you clip on a leash and take him for a walk, everything changes. His tail gives a hesitant wag, his eyes soften, and for a little while, you can see the old Blackie again – gentle, grateful, and so full of love.
He’s calm, well-mannered, and just wants to belong again. What he needs now is someone to open their heart and home to him.
